PROGRESS in building FASTCAT 605 Green Motion!
The build of the new FASTCAT 605 GREEN MOTION is progressing very well.
With the design of this new FASTCAT the following specifications were given to architect Simonis Voogd.
- It had to become a high performance catamaran with ample space to entertain and live on.
- A very important aspect is the possibility to sail her single handed: all control lines run back to the steering station where electric winches can be used to hoist and control the sails.
- This cat has 3 steering positions and a full size navigation station.
The standard version will be equipped with 2 diesel sail drives, built in basalt fiber with the Twaron impact protection system and ballast tanks for better sailing performance.
Optionally she can be equipped with the Green Motion propulsion and generating system, built in carbon fiber with a carbon rig and swing boards for even less weight and resistance.
