Dyneema® trampoline webbing

AFRICAN CATS offers Trampoline webbing for catamarans made from Dyneema® fiber.

DOUBLE KNOTTED DYNEEMA® SK78®

Now available at African Cats double knotted Dyneema® SK78® trampoline webbing in dark grey.

We are pleasant to introduce our new Dyneema® SK78® trampoline webbing !

We have changed and improved the following:

1. Double knotted

2. Dyneema® SK78®

3. Available in dark grey and white

4. 12 mm mesh size

The advantages are:

Less slippery, minimal creep and stretch, less wear with 5 years warranty Comfortable to walk on Increased strength + 15 % It is already pre-stretched It has the highest UV stability of all types of fibre making it very durable. It is over 90 % open making it very safe for waves falling on top or coming from underneath. Extreme light weight, it actually floats. (less than 260 grams per square meter)

The dark grey colour shows minimal dirt compared with white. The Colour has changed dark grey, the reason for changing was to show and attract less dirt.

African Cats has the new double knitted Dyneema® SK78® 12mm mesh size in stock and can offer this webbing to all multihull builders and owners for use on new or used multihulls.

If you just want to have a look and feel of the material! Please send a mail with your correct postal address and we will be happy to send you a sample of it by mail.

Low stretch
Because of the low stretch it is now possible to tie the trampoline webbing direct to the hulls and the forward crossbeam, so there will not be any openings between the yacht and the trampoline, making the forward platform a safer and more stable place to work or relax.

Development
African Cats has developed this new webbing because the normally used trampolines do not let water penetrate the mazes well. Also, the weight of most webbing is over 2 kg p/m2. The degradation and stretching of nylon webbing was another reason for African Cats to change to the Dyneema® webbing.

Used on all her cats
From today all new African FastCats will be delivered with Dyneema® trampoline webbing.

Purchase
African Cats invites any interested catamaran builder to contact her if they want to use the same material so they can also produce safer and lighter cats.
