NEW GENERATION CATAMARANS
Our catamaran FastCat 445/455 was designed from the bottom up to be lighter and stronger than the previous generation catamarans. This meant bringing the methods that have been perfected for other technologies into the art of boat building. Extensive use of CAD tools allowed us to put strength where it is needed and remove materials and weight from places where it is not. Every corner of the design was examined with a keen eye towards strength and weight.

EXAMPLES OF TAKEN DECISIONS

• Mast, boom and keels are made of carbon (option).
• The rudders are made of basalt fiber.
• Diesel and water tanks are integrated with the hulls which results in lighter weight and more strength as the tanks are part of the structure with Kevlar and Carbon reinforcements at all key structural areas.
• One piece construction whenever possible.

ONE PIECE BUILDS
Unlike most other catamarans the hulls, lower deck and cabin sole are built as one piece as is the deck itself. This results in a far stronger boat much in the same way as an integral body and frame automobile.
